For Graham Derzon-Supplee

 Graham Derzon-Supplee was a student at Pitzer College, earning a degree from the institution in organismal biology. An avid swimmer, Graham died from accidental drowning on 29 July 2022 at the young age of twenty-three. I have always liked discovering the meaning, or inspiration behind many of the murals at the Claremont Colleges, in this case that meant discovering something of the life of the person to whom it is dedicated - unfortunately someone who died far to early. The Kitsap Daily News published what seems like a pretty heartfelt obituary which can be read here, and explains a lot about what you see in the mural.

Unfortunately, it took too long to write this post, and now I've forgotten which building the mural is painted on. Oh, well, just ride around the Pitzer campus and you'll find it.
