Ladies & Gents: Crazy Circles

Ugh, my legs just did not want to work right last night - crazy circles they were turning. I don't know what it was they were doing, at first, but it did not seem like they were going round and round. Anyway, like last week, while the group gathered at the Dog Haus, I did some solo warm up miles for the extra distance before settling in, at the first regroup spot in San Dimas, to wait. Turns out that is all it took - the arrival of the group, and the uptick in speed. The "push reset" got everything working again.

"Life is like a merry go round painted horses riding up and down
Music takes you and you're gone again
Crazy circles never seem to end

Oh I will face the sun
Leavin' shadows far behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah...

Crazy circles goin' round and round
Crazy circles round and round and
One day you're up and the next day you're down
Life is like a merry go round."
(Rodgers and Rodgers, Bad Company)

Sheriff deputies from the San Dimas station stopped by to share some laughs with us. (Actually they were on the job too, telling us we could no longer use the old regroup spot, which we already no longer use because one bitter business owner does not want us using the empty parking lot, empty because none of the businesses there are open at this time of the evening anyway). Whatever, another half mile into the loop we have a new, friendlier regroup spot.

I think Eric almost convinced one of the deputies, the one with the sergeant stripes, to join us, but she would not quite commit. Thursday work hours and all... but who knows, it is a long summer?
