Book Release: Fast Digs Vol. 2

Yes, Fast Digs, Vol. 2: Bicycle Racing in Greater Los Angeles, 1900-1929 has now been released for purchase. Two-hundred twenty-seven pages of comprehensive history, with photographs, of bicycle races and racers from the first three decades of the 1900s. Combined, both volumes of Fast Digs provide the most complete look at the earliest years of racing in the region. Fast Digs documents the progression of racing, through the rollercoaster of fat and lean years, from the sports' inception (vol. 1) right up to preparations for the upcoming Olympics and the six-day boom of the 1930s. If that doesn't entice you to open your wallet, all books purchased through the Blurb bookstore come with a price discount of between 20% and 40% from now through November 14 - that includes both volumes of Fast Digs, as well as the numerous books in the CLR Effect Occasional series. Fast Digs Vol. 2 can be previewed here, and any of the others simply by visiting my Blurb bookstore page.

And, should Fast Digs v.2 prove to not quite live up to your expectations, I have it on expert authority that our best "friends" find it to be especially tasty.
