GMR Friday: Road Closed...

Sometimes we have to use those backup plans / routes kept stuffed in our jersey pockets. It is good to have options. My first GMR Friday ride for the new blog turned into a non-event. A CHP officer at the bottom of Monroe Truck Trail had the road closed to all. Production trucks, etc in the big dirt parking area further down the road made it pretty clear that something was going on. Something turned out to be filming for a car commercial and, though the officer said it would only be another 15 minutes or so, you know how that filming stuff goes, and I decided not to wait - there are plenty more Fridays coming up. Bonelli Park was an adequate option, though now that summer is here the roads are filling up in that area with Raging Water traffic, uggg. I did get to finish off the last few miles with the Psycho-lists (who I came upon while they were stopped for a flat), always a fun ride, and since they have been starting earlier lately, I have not been able to ride with them for some time now.
