Bounding Away
Five deer, one bounding away before I could even come to a stop. The sun tried bounding away as well, but not fast enough. One final leap took it over beyond the hills, but I could be thankful to not have anything else obscuring the view of its flight from the long day.
"Dirty old river
Must you keep rolling
Flowing into the night?
People so busy
Make me feel dizzy
Taxi light shines so bright
But I don't need no friends
As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset
I am in paradise..."
