Gettin' Out Beyond the Mob
Time and again I turn to songs of the past only to find the present foretold in their lyrics:
"Close the city and tell the people that something's coming to call
Death and darkness are rushing forward to take a bite from the wall, oh
You've nothing to say
They're breaking away
If you listen to fools*...
The Mob Rules
The Mob Rules..."
(*fools - honestly, forty years ago, when this was written, how did they know the orange Chump would be President?)

i could not convince myself to go to the top via either the trail...
That said, seeing water up there, filling the various recharge basins, is this what the area would have looked like, in an even more distant past, with water flowing freely down and out through the canyon? Something to imagine.
Sun in the morning may have, once again, given way to clouds and grey sky, but there is something that never changes, and that is the goodness of getting out on a ride.
Until we can ride together again, be safe out there.

Until we can ride together again, be safe out there.
