Monday Blues: Trash Talk

Frequently enough you hear about another coastal clean-up taking place, and that's cool because you know that it can get rather trashy down at the coast. Well, if you have ever ridden along the San Gabriel River Trail, you probably know this stretch - Whittier narrows just above the dam. After a storm passes through it is always horribly trashed, and you just know that sooner or later, after another storm or two, all that trash is going to end up at the coast. So why don't we ever hear of a river clean-up taking place? Nip the problem at the bud before it even gets to the coast.
