Up the Road: Ride of Silence
There is one Bike Month event that I forgot to include in the last post - the Ride of Silence.
We, and others around the world ride together, in silence, each year on May 15 to remember fellow riders who were killed, or injured, while riding their bikes on the public roadways during the previous year. It is okay to take this one day off from your regular Wednesday ride, it will be there the week after. Unfortunately there have been far too many riders in our area who will not be able to be there for that next ride the week after.
Remember the ride is a slow one, no faster that 12mph, and completed in silent remembrance and camaraderie. Meet at the Starbucks on Baseline at Day Creek.
Thank u every year I'll be looking out for u cause I would really love to join & so would others for our beloved friend Brian Johnson who was killed on May 14 2019(RIP)
