The Giant's Molars

In time the species of giants died out, the echoes of their thunderous footsteps grew silent. Eons passed during which the earth settled around their stilled bodies, covering them with blown dust, shifting sands and the decay of generations of flora. More eons passed until eventually the land rose back up, and the wind blowing and rain falling wore away the earth covering the remains of those ancient beings. Today, in places, they stick up out of the rounded hills of Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park; if you know what to look for you can spot them easily enough, like the massive molar seen above and below from a little further away.

Saturday was perfect for riding around Sycamore Canyon, and many people had the same idea (the Jenson's lot was filled with pick-ups with bike racks). It seems as though there have been more "perfect days for Sycamore" this year than most, but you know they can't last - sooner or later the heat will arrive.

the mrs. was not alone with the colorful jersey - there was another rider with the exact same

I will kind of be glad to see this month come to an end, I have had enough of these non-riding-but-still-cycling-related May mishaps
