Two Wheel Tuesday: Where the Sun Don't Shine
"...
What a cold and rainy day. Where on earth is the sun hid away?
..."
The song had still not wrapped up when I made the turn into the parking lot, found a spot and turned the key shutting down the engine. From that point it only takes a handful of minutes to "get ready" and roll out and, as long as extra minutes are not given away for hello's and small talk, the first dirt arrives just a few clicks of the minute hand beyond.
Any song could have shuffled through the ol' Pod at that moment, but... coincidentally, and conveniently apropos, was hearing Natalie Merchant's voice behind this one. Where was the sun anyway? DTLA, with buildings turned like steel and glass sunflowers, straining skyward, bathed in a warm glow, but everywhere else seemed to be stuck in the proverbial place where the sun don't shine. And that was okay, especially when, an hour or so later riders began to line up in front of Chef Milo's kitchen, then belly-up to the counter for a taste of LVBC's latest small-batch, Belli Bomb.
Two Wheels, what Tuesdays were made for.
