The 2018 Thanksgiving Food Drive
Often times the best way to give thanks is not to say it, but rather to show it by sharing whatever bounty we may have.
Once again, this year, Bicycle Friends and SC Velo have partnered with local businesses to collect foodstuffs for distribution to families who could use a little extra assistance during the Thanksgiving holiday. Donated items including, but not limited to, canned food, peanut butter, cereal, dry pasta, rice, spaghetti sauce, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, granola bars, juice boxes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and grocery gift cards can be dropped off at the La Verne Brewing Company, Claremont Craft Ales, Incycle, Glendora Chevrolet, and Glendora Hyundai. The items will be collected and redistributed through Pacific Lifeline and St. Vincent de Paul.
It is a small thing for many of us to pull a few items from the kitchen cupboard, or to throw and extra one or two into the shopping cart, but it can make a big difference to someone else.
