 Well, well, maybe there was something to that smell of fire during that evening ride last week after all. This little burned area is the evidence i didn't see at that time. Well then, only one song would do:

until getting around that large shrub on the right, i though this was just some regular maintenance brush clearance waiting to be cleared

normally by the time i get Out There after work the clouds that have built up over Baldy an hour or more earlier have flattened out, or completely disappeared
