Up the Road: Alley Cat'n Around Pomona

You know, there's some cool cats who like to ride bikes over there in Pomona, and at least a few of them like to mob around on Mondays. That's right, as the poster says it is Mobbin' Monday's 15th Anniversary, and the celebration is this weekend. I've made it out to cover a few races in P-Town over the years but, for good or bad, have never found myself spinning out with one of those Monday mobs. While their tendency has always leaned toward the fixed-gear, on those social rides they don't really care what you ride - you can be fixed, or you can be free, like an alley cat.

Speaking of which, Mobbin' Monday, as part of the big Anniversary festivities are holding an Alley Cat race where everyone routes themselves around to six different parks in Pomona as quick as they can. Don't forget about the after race party, with the punk rock n' ride band Pedal Strike headlining there'll be some alley cats yowling for sure.
