Fast Digs: Deur, Hoffman and Furman at Seal Gardens
A couple years ago, a post appeared here about the Seal Gardens Saucer Track, and the races that opened the venue in 1908. At that time, the only photos I had found of the Gardens were photos of the paths, and of an earlier constructed pavilion. I had no photos of the track.
Well, I am stoked to say that I have come upon a trove of historic photos, a treasure every one of them. Well, in my opinion anyway. There are views of the track, crowds of spectators and, as seen in the photo here, some of the racers who competed:
Watch for the 2nd volume of Fast Digs, which will include much more information about the Seal Gardens track, to be released in the near future.
