Cycling Claremont: The Toxic Mural

Update: This mural is actually called "Genetic Future," created by Joe Galarza (who also did this one at Pitzer College).

Well, this one does not seem to have made it into the Claremont Colleges Digital Library database. Yet? So, I don't know who the artist is, or if the mural has a title. The initials at the lower right look like a J and a G, but it is just my best guess. As for the mural, it is all very toxic - the earth being pumped with steroids, the mushroom cloud, the smokestacks, calavera maize, dry, cracked ground. There is a lot that can be read into it; next time you are riding through, you can check it for yourself, ponder its meaning(s), on the campus of Pitzer College.
