It's the Weekend: Canchalagua
It is indeed the weekend now and, though the days are heating up now, there is still much beauty all around Out There. The progression of wildflowers continues, with this moment in time being given to the California centaury. Also known as Canchalagua (among other names) the small magenta blooms have proliferated along multiple areas of local trail. Sometimes there are great patches of it to be seen, other times single plants which, themselves, may give rise to other great patches at some time in the near future.
Get out there and see what you can see. While I always look forward to a good weekend ride, this weekend I also plan to attend on day of the California Celtic Festival in Placentia; it has been a long time since last I heard some of those band live - the Young Dubliners, the Fenians, I first heard back in the early '90s - there's going to be some great craic at Kraemer Park. What ever you end up doing, make it great!
