It's the Weekend: No April Foolin'

And there is no dearth of things to do.
You can kick off those things to do this very evening as everyone's favorite Local Bikestand brings back their Friday Night Bikes first of the month bbq (6:00 to 8:00), in fact they may be firing that thing up as you read this.

Saturday morning, pay your respects in memory of Tom Thomas, and help raise awareness of bicyclist vulnerability, with a short ride and ghost bike dedication. Ride leaves Competitive Edge on Foothill Blvd in Upland at 9:30, and rumor has it Mark will be providing hot dogs and drinks afterward.

Also taking place on Saturday morning is the monthly Ride Around Pomona. I don't know where they're bound this month but, as usual, I'm sure it will be to check out some points of interest in the city.

Finally, filling both days of the weekend is one of the best run races in southern California - the Tour de Murrieta. Saturday's Grand Prix course, in particular, offers some terrific spectating opportunities in the Town Center area of the city.

Of course there is always just regular old riding too, such as this afternoon's spin around the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park. Whatever you choose to do, do it well.
