Choose Your Weapon
Question: What is the difference between someone pulling a gun and saying get out of my way and someone gripping a steering wheel and saying get out of my way? If you answered, there is no difference, you would be correct. Both are classic examples of the misbelief that "might makes right - (and since we're on that topic, phuck Putin, by the way). So, why is it that someone who (presumably) would call the former a criminal offense, has no problem doing the latter? That is a rhetorical question by the way, but if you want to answer, chime in. I prefer to call it motor dependence, an affliction that warps a persons' world view. But that is a matter for another time.
Anyway, the afore-mentioned driver, after turning from Denver onto Aurora delivers a so-called "punishment pass" of a few inches and continues on. Boy was he surprised when a half-mile later, SUV against the curb and pulling mail from the mail box, the cyclist lets him have it with a hail of choice words and spouting something about 3-feet. Never expecting to see said cyclist again, the dude seriously jumped out of his shoes in surprise. Phucker, they called one another, accomplishing nothing. Although the cyclist did blow off some steam; it had been a good long while, a lot of turning the other cheek, since he last gave someone a good cussing out.
Otherwise, it was a hell-uv-a-day around these parts, wasn't it - National Trails Day - an easy day along the Pacific Electric Trail for the mrs. and myself, out to the Fontana civic center, a nice place if not for that bloody wind that always seems to be blowing there.
not quite yet - perhaps waiting for an inspection?

bald spots
"permanently closed" now but, apparently, Fontana had a good sized population of people from Slovenia, enough that they could have their own cultural hall at one time
nice views from the windy city...
but the big empty spaces are filling up
they might need to do a restoration of the sign about the restoration of the house, if they don't pick up the pace of restoration a little
