Happy May Day
For the most part International Workers' Day (May 1st) has been supplanted in the United States by Labor Day, and moved as a convenient way to end the summer. Never-the-less, happy May Day to the people who keep the world running.
The (1960) photo above was published in the Oxford Mail, 2013, and shows workers from the Crowley auto factory heading for home (or perhaps the local pub) at the end of a day on the line.
