It's the Weekend!

Sunday, the 17th of November, the SoCal cyclocross series will return to the local area, following last weekends detour to San Diego, and this weekend at San Luis Obispo. Once again on the schedule is a stop at Martha McLean - Anza Narrows regional park, a place on a hillside above the Santa Ana River with a lot of grass, an overabundance of grass. In fact, looking back it seems as if the only time you are not racing on grass, you are racing through sand. Yes, grass, slopes, trees, wide views, fun people, just a good time all around. The few photos here are from the 2015 and 2017 Anza Crossing races.

Of course that is still a week away, there is still this weekend to enjoy. I got mine started off with a way-too-warm ride up to Johnson's Pasture and a loop around the CHWP. If you are doing the Tour de Foothills on Saturday, have a great ride, it will be a perfect morning for it. I will be heading out to the annual American Indian Arts Marketplace, where there is always a mix of beautiful art and stylish functional pieces making me wish I had the moolah to buy them.

What ever you do, do it well and, as always, make some time for the bike.
