Those Numbskulls

 Ah, those numbskull kids, three of them heading down Mills on the wrong side of the road

of course.

Maybe the three were middle school age. Maybe. The lead rider, the oldest (i would guess) decides its time to get over to the other side of the street and swerves out. Without looking behind him. Fortunately the driver also heading down the street, perhaps having heard enough about the antics of kids on e-bikes anticipates the move, otherwise there may have been one less kid in Claremont this evening. Meanwhile the other two have wisely stopped to make sure the way is clear before they too cut across the street just ahead of old mean old man mike heading down on his mountain bike, and two cars coming up. Do they possess the experience to judge the speed of approaching vehicles? Perhaps not. Kind of like that coyote cutting across, and running down Mills, oblivious to any danger, in 2014.

And perhaps they are not the numbskulls. That dishonor more likely rests with the parents who continue to buy these things for their kids, while knowing full well that kids

lack judgement. Especially when they get together.

And another thing, what exactly is wrong with pedaling? Should not kids that age be developing their muscles, thinking and cognition, all while combating the risk of depression and anxiety. Physical activity, the person pedaling to move the bike, rather than letting the bike move the person, does all that.
