2023 Southridge Winter Series, Round Two: No Bones About It

None. In pretty convincing fashion round two of the Southridge Winter Series saw Gavin Hladey repeat as King of the Mountain and claim the 1st place points in the Pro Men's race. This time, though, the gap to the 2nd place finisher was a much closer two minutes, as Seth Benson (who did not race the series' first event two weeks earlier) put in a good effort and, like Hladey, averaged laps of less than twenty-five minutes. Rounding out the podium was Ryan Huffman, Joshua Tootell (who shaved two and a half minutes from his round one time), and Jacob Schoolfield. For the most part the other categories are going to need to fill out when the series returns to the rocky hills in February or risk becoming runaways for the, sometimes, lone racers in them; for instance Sasha Contreras (Sport Women 25+), Tanner Jackson (Sport Men 19-29), James McDermott (Sport Men 19-29) and Nicholas Palmeira (Beg. Men 9-10), Andrew Palmeira (Beg. Men 59-59) and David Buckell (Beg. Men 60+) have all been the lone entrants in their respective categories.
