Tsunami

Was it the tsunami advisory? Or was it just a regular old rain event? One or the other must have been the reason the lifeguards were driving back and forth, with lights flashing, keeping people off the beach. If it was the first, well, okay, although that little disturbance of water moving up river would, I'm guessing, be considered rather pathetic in tsunami terms. I've seen tidal bores moving up the same river that were far more impressive. A few ducks were scared into flight, but that was about it - blink and you would have miss it. If it was the second, well, that would be pathetic in a different - toxic stew of our own design - kind of way.

Anyway, for which ever reason, Seal Beach and the San Gabriel River Trail was pretty well abandoned this morning. A little water might have caused the Wicked Witch of the West to melt, but I don't think most people have to worry about something like that. As far as i'm concerned, a little rain just adds some interest to an otherwise regular everyday ride.

well, of course we went to Sweet Jill's!

looking for a little more Christmas? Seal Beach has some
