Slow Sunday Scenes in the Village

"Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right..."
(Harrison)

Took two days of riding the road this weekend to make the weekly mileage goal. That does not happen very often; the mountain bike or, maybe, the gravel rig will typically make an appearance on one of the days. There are certain advantages to riding the road - stopping for a Jamba Juice smoothie, stopping in the shade of the farmers' market, stopping for tacos at Espiau's, stopping to talk with someone who... well, who just wanted to talk. Man, now that I see it all written out that's a lot of stopping. I'm sure there was riding somewhere too.

Hmm, I've let this go all afternoon now. Something about sitting out on the patio, a beer in my  right hand, a book in the left, pushing back on the recliner to raise the legs, a cool breeze blowing through the trees, pushing out the heat of a few hours ago, glancing over to where a laptop sits open atop the table, the blog page first, open to this very post waiting to be finished, and behind it, the text for Fast Digs open and waiting to finish the final paragraphs relating to the Saucer Track at Tenth and Main. Waiting. It'll wait a little longer...
