Cycling Claremont: Criss-Crossed
Holy Moly and miracle of miracles. The Ibis was not the only cyclocross bike on the Cross Town Loop last night. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. While it is not unusual to see bikes coming towards me on the dirt Thompson Creek Trail, invariably they turn out to be mountain bikes. Last night, what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a bike with drop bars and skinny knobbed tires.
Well, there is a first time for everything.
Later along the Loop, while it may not have been the only bike at Memorial Park, the Ibis was clearly the most color-appropriate one to show for Michael Ryan's 'Spirit of Ireland' concert. Dressed for the occasion on a Monday in Claremont.
