From the Library: Epic Bike Rides of the World

Too many rides, too little time. What is a member of the working class to do? Wish? Plan? Cry? There are enough epic rides tucked into the pages of this guidebook for a lifetime of unique cycling satisfaction.

Think of this as an idea book. There are no maps, no route specifics, nothing of substance to reveal how, exactly, you get from start to finish, or round the loop, or here to there. What there is, though, is plenty of inspiration in the form of photographs and written descriptions of sights and sounds, tastes and smells. Each author provides a general glimpse of what to expect, specifics of the route is pretty much left up to the reader / rider. Epic Bike rides of the World contains a plethora of starting points, the bare bones which you then must flesh out on your own. Honestly, that is, as it has always been, a part of any true adventure.
