So, who was it brought the ornaments Out There with which to decorate the Shoe Tree? Whoever it was - Very Cool, Yule Cool in fact, and a pleasant surprise to find other than shoes decorating the bare winter branches.

Sure, the song speaks of a tree "forever green," but who says it has to be that way.

The winter solstice may be tomorrow, but i tell ya, we just keep stringing these stellar days of sun and warmth. The kind of days that make you want to get out in 'em and see things, and experience the world Out There, knowing that, man this is the best! Once the wheels started their spinning up above the dam, there wasn't a soul around until they got up to and cruised past the trailhead on Shinn, but when they came back around to the city side, there were plenty of folks out in the dirt, and they all had the same look in their eyes, the same tone in their words of greeting - what a way to spend a morning!
