Two Wheel Tuesday: Easing Back?

"... She rose to leave, I touched her hand, like ice in every bone
And I turned to look but she was gone, in the dead of night alone

In the dark and cold I was all alone
I was all alone and wary
In the dark and cold I was all alone
At Resurrection Cemetery

With Resurrection Mary."

Well, there may not anything quite as spooky out there as The Tossers' Resurrection Mary, but we have reached the time of year when the sky turns dark (and somewhat cool) soon after most rides start. And, if you arrive a little bit late, you might be turning on those lights right from the get go. Many of the daylight evening rides - Bud's, the Rose Bowl, WNGR - are coming to an end, or will be soon. Others will continue through the long nights of Autumn and Winter, but during this time of transition riders (excepting the cyclocrossers)  typically ease back. At least a little bit, for a little while.

Then again there are those of us who, and though we might wish it to be otherwise, just can't seem to get enough riding in the rest of the year to make easing back necessary, or desirable.
