Monday Blues: Tougher than Nails

That's Jacob Carlson, of Monster Media Racing, at the finish of Sunday's MoVal CXC Challenge, Men's B race. A lap earlier he crossed the line in much the same position on the bike, the same posture, cradling that left arm. No one else seemed to notice, or at least no one else said anything, though it was pretty clear something was wrong. Expecting him to pull over and out at the first course crossing I, instead, watched him continue on and out of sight. Dang, he's going to ride the entire final lap one-handed? I wondered. I guess that's what you do when you race Men's B. Tougher than nails.
