Ladies and Gents: It's a Cruel Summer?

"Hot summer streets
And the pavements are burning
I sit around
Trying to smile but
The air is heavy and dry
Strange voices are saying
(What did they say?)
Things I can't understand
It's too close for comfort
This heat has got
Right out of hand

It's a cruel, cruel, cruel summer..." (Bananarama)

What was there to do, the Thirsty Thursday's came along first, and a check back along the road did not reveal any Ladies and Gents. So what was there to do but jump in the first group to come along and go for a ride.

Summer's draw down like the evening sky. Lights pop on, flashing on the bike we follow, on the bikes we lead. Roady's electric yellow a flash of color we pass by, where the road narrows and the midnight blue sky descends in sheets.
