Fast Digs: Montrose Cycle Club, 1985

From the Robert and Betty Franklin Collection in the Oviatt Library at CSUN. Start line of the Montrose Cycle Clubs annual race,1985. The photographers (Robert and Betty Franklin) worked as independent photographer / journalists for the Herald newspaper group between 1961 and 1997. I thought perhaps the Montrose club would have held their race at the Rose Bowl but the location is not identified as such and I can not recognize the buildings in the background. Where ever it was held, the race drew a good sized crowd of spectators.
