Pedal Power

The lake was pretty calm on a recent overcast day, but still, that little boat was leaving a

 good long wake. They were setting quite a pace, but I was heading downhill on that road, with rolling resistance the only thing slowing me down. So I closed the gap. As I did so the reality became obvious. They, like myself, were pedaling that little watercraft. We have all seen those plodding pedal boats things where riders sit side by side and move quickly as turtle in his race with hare. Those boats this was not.
