Monday Blues: There They Go

Well, really, this only qualifies as "blues" post because I wasn't in place to capture them riding towards me, as the Claremont High School Mountain Bike Team rode away from the bike repair stand dedication on Saturday, for a little training in Marshall Canyon. In other words it would have been much better to be able to say "here they come," as opposed to "there they go." Other than that it was pretty cool to see that this years team is composed of such a large group of student athletes and, though the season is still two months away (races begin mid-February), it bodes well. I saw a lot of confidence, and promise in those pedaling kids as they passed; the awed "hey, its the Claremont mountain bike team", and other similar statements/comments suggests that more onlookers did as well. It is going to be another exciting season, whichever high school team you happen to root for.
