Monday Mural, Monday Mark...

With graduation at the Claremont Colleges now a thing of the distant past, or more than a month anyway, it is easier to take photos around the campuses. There are fewer people around to get in the way. The above monotone, by Frederik Wepner, is located along a passageway between buildings at Pitzer College. Quite straight forward and effective graphic.

Now, how about that Mark. The best just have a knack for finding their way to the front when they need to. Poor positioning - they find the gaps and somehow squeeze through. No lead out train - they will just use whatever, or whoever, happens to be available. Mark Cavendish showed it today. Written off by the three commentators I was listening during this morning's British EuroSport coverage, which included King Kelly (who had his money on Goss, if I'm not mistaken), Cav taught a lesson, and showed all why he is the best at the sprint. Not today Mr. Sagan, try again Mr. Goss, maybe next time Herr Greipel.
