Ugh! I was having one heck of a time reseating the tire on the rim after changing out the sealant. Without a good air compressor, i just could not pump the floor pump fast enough to make it work. Each downward thrust just caused air to push the new sealant out through the gap between tire bead and rim, and it was getting all over the garage floor, and i was sure to step in it before too much longer, tracking it back into the house with no one else around to blame for the white footprints across the floor.
Not wanting to let another weekend slip past without an mtb ride, i called up Greg and asked if he could maybe squeeze a little tire job in to his afternoon repair line. Fifteen minutes later i was at the shop. Ten minutes later i could have walked out with a functioning rear wheel, but hung out for another hour instead.
The weekend outlook is looking much better now.
