Slow Sunday Scenes in the Village

Contraposed with Saturday's (and Friday's, and Sunday's I am sure) fast paced racing at Velo Sports Center, a Sunday morning visit to Claremont Village and the farmers' market was a more relaxed event. Always good to see so many people riding in, and the racks, both those in front of city hall, and those at Shelton Park were filled by riders out doing their shopping - and contraposed, incidentally, by several drivers circling the blocks looking for a parking spot. The cut flowers seemed to be the ever popular choice - bright yellows and orange, as well as multi-colored bouquets being carried away. Riding to market and riding away, that's how to get it done. Besides, that way allows you to ride through the Colleges and spot the new mural at Pitzer!
