Bring On the Night

Now that we've reached day light savings after the long dark of winter, i can finally say with some conviction and, now that night is more light, "... bring on the night..." (Sumner). Extended daylight notwithstanding, my hope of being able to run that long stretch of single track came to a skidding stop, front wheel just shy of deep water. Just as the trail ended where i stood, it began again on the far side of the mirror surface. But really, it wasn't a night to go wading.
