Let the Good Times Roll

If i remember correctly, the Spring semester at the Claremont Colleges was sent off (at the beginning of May) with the sight of a big group of bicyclists racing their way through the campuses. It seems as if the Fall semester picks up right were the Spring one left off. We had ridden down to the Garner House for the annual Claremont Artisan and Vintage Sale, followed that up with a little tennis, stopped briefly at the big, multi-school women's rugby tournament, and were heading home to rest before the protest, when a massive group of riders (with a few scooterers and skateboarders mixed in) came bombing down Mills and the walkway beside Boswell Hall. What were there - two hundred? Three hundred? Some number in between? Man, i tell you they were having some fun! Didn't matter if one was at the front of the bunch, bringing up the tail end, or filling the mass in between the two ends, the smiles and laughs were uniformly BIG. Yeah, those college years are some of the best. Keep it up, keep it going.

Here they come, riding down the street, they get the awesomest looks from everyone they meet...
