The Power

Sometimes nothing compels us to action like a photo. I have been looking at that cable housing to the rear derailleur for more than two years. It is a cable housing that, when I built up the Ibis, I cut longer than was necessary and, if I must admit, I have been too lazy to correct. From a mechanical standpoint there is nothing wrong with leaving it that long, though it has snagged on things like shrubs and feet which, didn't at the time, but could create a problem. So after reviewing photos from this morning's Cross Town Loop and fixating on that white housing, I finally took action. It no longer looks like it does in the photo here. The power of a single image.
