Upcoming: National Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day

Save the date, October 5th will be the tenth annual International Mountain Biking Association's (IMBA) celebration. When the son was younger we went a couple, or three, times to the event organized by the SoCal Trailriders (unfortunately registration for this years event is closed, having reached capacity). Those were a whole lot of fun, with rides, raffles and barbecue. There are a few other rides around the southland, including one organized by CORBA from 9:00 to 1:30 at Malibu Creek State Park. Of course, you don't have to join in with any group. Just get out and ride, and take the kid(s), or mom, with you. Then celebrate with an ice cream. You, and they, will have earned it.
