Ultra-local Success at Masters Road Nationals...
Frank Schroeder of Claremont teamed with BBI / SIC Cycling teammate, Scott Raymond, to win the men's elite tandem time trial in a time of 51:53.6, more than two and a half minutes faster than the second placed finishers.
In the men's 90+ tandem time trial, Kurt Bickel, of neighboring Upland, and UC Cyclery / JW Floors / Sun Coast Velo teammate, Marvin Hall (Sun City, CA) took the title in a time of 53:23.8, a full minute ahead of second place.
Californians have finished prominently in most of the races competed so far during the USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships, which began on September 5th in Bend, Oregon, and run through the 9th.
