This has nothing to do with the Two Wheel Tuesday ride last night but, being something of a self-proclaimed Irish music aficionado, it seemed appropriate to mark the passing of Dolores O'Riordan too early from life. Like many, even those who were not Irish music aficionados, I was turned on to the popular music of the Cranberries during the 1990s:
"... but you see it's not me
It's not my family
In you head, in your
Head they are fighting
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head,
In your head they are crying'..."
As for the ride, it was a good one. Of course, how often are they not? Apparently the ride has been going on all winter, unsurprisingly. Just without the photos. Those other five riders, well they took a turn as soon as we got to the park - some backwards route, or other, I don't know since I just went solo around the more usual loop. Eleven miles of quiet, eleven miles of dark, eleven miles of sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Eleven miles of just riding - what it is all about.
