Young Guns of NAHBS: The Students of Cal Poly

Last month I posted a short bit about the Cal Poly Framebuilding Club, asking if anyone knew if they were still active. Lo and behold my question was answered half way along the first aisle I walked at NAHBS. The one student shown here was proudly showing, and talking, about his bike. And why not? If I could build my own bike...

Anyway, there were numerous points of interest to this build - from the textured, mottled Cal Poly green paint, fork, split top tube(s), and custom rotors. The young maker did not like the look of the more typical sliding drop out usually seen on single-speed bikes, so he designed a rocker instead, one that pivots at the top bolt to adjust the chain tension.
