Young Guns of NAHBS 1: Patrick Cycle Works

I think what I like best about this Patrick Cycle Works show bike is that, while understated, there is no danger of it becoming boring. It is a classic lugged frame, though the lug at the seatpost does not fit the traditional mold; in some ways it think it deserves to be called a sleeve, rather than a lug. I do believe a little contrasting color would have made it pop, bringing due attention to it. The classic harlequin checkerboard pattern and basic two tone paint scheme are well within keeping of the overall design.

Patrick Gauci designs and builds steel frames out of his shop in Toronto, Canada. If you like what you see, check Patrick Cycle Works website for more information.
