From the Archives: Darryl Scala at MBGP, 1993

This is more a case of, I knew of Darryl Scala, rather than knew Darryl Scala, if you know what I mean. Therefore I am not sure if I have got his name spelled correctly. Anyway, Darryl was a masters racer with the Chevrolet / LA Sheriff squad at the time. Clearly he knew how to coordinate his accessories - rims and skewers, headset, cranks, maybe rear derailleur pulleys too. He rode a sharp looking bike. He is seen here riding in the slipstream of, I believe, a Lightning Velo rider at the 1993 Manhattan Beach Grand Prix.
