Oh, I Should Not Have Called it That
After spending most of last week mountain bike-less, it was nice to have it back beneath me. A brake bleed, and worn cassette replacement later and it runs very nice. Very nice indeed. When the trail turns steep, the chain still wants to jump off the small ring, meaning climbs are much more strenuous and slow than they should be, but that's a problem i'll have the shop guys look into next time. Anyway, the bike was running so smooth that i was encouraged to ride some extra distance checking out what the April Showers have brought us Out There now that we're half way through May. From Penstemon purple to the magenta of Rock Rose, from all sorts of cream and white - Mexican Evening Primrose and Mexican Elderberry (ooops, i suppose i shouldn't have said those, someone is sure to sign an executive order changing them to American Evening Primrose and American Elderberry now), and yuccas in various stages of bloom, and yellow of every hue and shade, including neon (as seen in this years' shoe tree bloom), Spring is a colorful world out there.
That’s the most amazing yucca I’ve ever seen! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of funny, they're usually quite a bit taller. Maybe the lack of rain this year stunted this one.
