(Mobbin') Monday Blues
I figure Mobbin' Monday has done a lot to turn younger riders into aficionados, people who enjoy the ride as well as the social aspect that the ride fosters whenever others join in. They have attracted people to the group, perhaps even converted previously non-cycling types, through their weekly rides, and the races they host - check out the next one, the Temple Brakeless Track Bike Criterium on Saturday, April 18.
Anyway, it was one of those unnaturally hot March days a few weeks ago; I had been covering a mountain bike race all day and was riding home. Suddenly feeling completely drained I stopped into a local establishment for a cold drink then sat down on a bench outside to contemplate the impossible - calling for a ride home. It was then I saw the Mobbin' Monday sticker mixed in with all the others.
Who will be the first to recognize where I stopped for a little R and R?
