Foothill News and Bike Report, Part III

Just when I thought that all was done except a dedication ceremony, along comes more. More benches, cool concrete ones with bird and tree imprints and, per Mr. Muir's improvement suggestion, green paint. The, by now familiar, green paint is used to mark breaks in the separated bike lane at intersections and driveways, anyplace drivers might need to cross the path to reach a destination.  As it has been used in other cities, the green provides an extra visual cue at areas where dedicated bike lane becomes shared space.

The benches, located at various spots along the north side of Foothill seem to be places where pedestrians can take a momentary rest in their travels.

Two more pluses along the Foothill corridor through the city of Claremont.
