Two Wheel Tuesday: Half the Ride

"You know how a heavy guy will, sometimes, hit and bounce." It was said as a statement rather than a question.

Honestly, if you don't stick around for the post-ride story-time you're missing half the ride. There were a lot of good lines tonight, but "hit and bounce" may have been the best of the bunch - there were also claims of climbing the unclimbable Corkscrew, except what was thought to be Corkscrew was, in fact, not Corkscrew, debate on the location and severity of climbing the Treeline trail, and why, several weeks ago, Las Hermanitas were sold out of their famous potato tacos - hint, make sure you get there before the guy who orders twelve. You know back in the old days of mountain man rendezvous in the Rockies, tall tales were shared and enhanced around summer camp fires, fueled by watered down whiskey and other rot-gut distillations. Post-ride story-time shared over pints of Copperhead, or your favorite La Verne Brewing Company brew, are directly descended from those older whoop-ups. Since I am so much faster than the rest of the 2WT posse and finish up a good thirty minutes ahead of them, I have missed a lot of that boasting lately - half the ride.
