Bikes in Film: Ethel & Ernest

I know I am a little behind on this film which was released last year, but I also feel it would be negligent to not mention it anyway. After all, the "and" part of Ethel & Ernest would have been less likely if not for the bicycle. Hanging out an upstairs window and greeting someone in a passing motor is probably not going to happen, and if you are speeding past in the motor, you are likely not to even notice someone at an upstairs window. In other words the bicycle is the means that bring Ethel and Ernest together.

The animation makes the film "cute" and clever as it is, but the true story part makes it all the more relatable, and compelling.
